Ceiling Water Damage Repair in Saskatoon
Sagging drywall, water stains, bubbling paint — ceiling water damage gets worse fast. We identify the source, dry the structure, and restore your ceiling properly.

About This Service
A water stain on your ceiling is rarely just a cosmetic issue. It's a symptom of moisture that has already saturated the drywall, insulation, and potentially the structure above. Left alone, wet drywall loses structural integrity, mold colonizes within 24 to 48 hours, and the source of the leak continues to cause damage. Whether the cause is a roof leak, a plumbing failure on the floor above, an ice dam, or a leaking appliance, we identify the source, stop the water entry, extract and dry the affected structure, and restore the ceiling to its original condition.
How We Handle It
Moisture Mapping
Using moisture meters and thermal imaging, we map the full extent of water infiltration — what you can see on the ceiling surface is almost always less than what's trapped above.
Controlled Demo
Damaged drywall and saturated insulation are removed through the smallest openings possible. Our goal is to get the structure dry, not to tear out more than necessary.
Structural Drying
Air movers and dehumidifiers are positioned to dry ceiling joists, subfloor above, and any remaining materials. Moisture readings confirm when target levels are reached.
Restoration
New drywall is installed, taped, mudded, and textured to match existing finishes. We paint and restore the space so the damage is invisible.
Technical Standards & Methodology
Ceiling water damage presents a concealed moisture challenge because lateral wicking along the paper face of drywall and migration through insulation means visible staining consistently underrepresents the actual wet area. Infrared thermography (thermal imaging) maps temperature differentials caused by evaporative cooling in wet materials, allowing technicians to trace moisture extent beyond what is visually or instrument-detectable at the surface. Saturated fiberglass batt insulation loses virtually all of its thermal R-value when wet (dry rated R-3.14 per inch; wet value approaches zero) and must be removed before structural cavities can be accessed for drying. Ceiling cavity drying requires directed airflow injection through controlled access openings — floor-level air movers alone cannot create sufficient airflow velocity across wet ceiling materials to achieve effective evaporation within an acceptable drying window.
